Ocracoke Alive helped bring poet Phillip Shabazz to Ocracoke for a Poetry Reading, on August 8th. Thanks to Bob Ray for organizing the event and to community poets Carme Prete, Mickey Baker, Pat Garber, Richard Bryant, and Kelly Shinn for sharing their work. Also thanks to Leslie Lanier and Books to be Red for hosting the event!
